VANGUARDS@work Celebrates “Pasko sa Liloan”

Launched in the year 2009 and known to be a non – government, non – profit organization composed mainly of ordinary but committed individuals, who have the willingness and the love to share in order to provide community service. VANGUARDS@work in its 2^nd year successfully celebrated “Pasko sa Liloan” last December 19, 2010 with almost 200 kids in Barangay Poblacion, Liloan Cebu.

With the support of the Barangay Officials and Municipality of Liloan, almost 200 kids (original plan was only 100 kids) celebrated with us as we are commemorating our second year as a humble organization.

The Programme

 The day was full of fun through games, presentations, gift giving and learning exercises. Aside from the original 100 registered kids from the localities of Liloan, parents and by-standers are also present during the whole activity. Health Awareness was also presented during the event through the help of our sponsor, Vital C Health Products Inc.

This year is really DIFFERENT! For we never expected such abundant blessings coming from all those who supported our quest. Initially, when we had our pre-planning / meeting, we intend to conduct a more or less similar scheme like last year, (watch this video post) but as we are contemplating on how to come up with the activity we dare to try something better or shall we say something BIGGER! Last year we had more or less 75 kids around from the targeted of 50 plus gift packs composed of goods and 1 pair of slipper so this year we decided to come up with 100 kids.

 At first it was somewhat like hard for we know the funds will directly come from the members but as we start to use our initiatives, cooperation and combined prayers, blessings just overflow and surprisingly we were able to come up more than double than what we expected. Double in number not just in the number of participants but as well as with the food/ snacks, prizes, support/ force, and most of all for the gifts (something we never really expect).
